Working Titles: The Christmas Happiness Wishlist Trail/A Christmas Full of Wishes & the Happiness Wishlist Trail
Summary: When the paths of a young female with some unusual hearing and vocal life challenges and an imperfect robotic life-size doll cross, some Christmas wishes are suddenly brought to life as they start to follow a trail to find happiness, help each other overcome the obstacles that stand in their path and help to find some solutions to ensure a positive future for those around them. Despite their challenging situations, as Annalise learns to read hear through a speech to word program and starts to type voice speak via a generated voice through Saturn's programs and devices, they try to find and embrace their place in the world and in each other's life, heart and mind and existence, programs and circuits as well as try to deal with the shenanigans of a smart aleck, domestic lap cat that lords his luxury cat status over all those around him. During their adventures, as they follow a happiness trail which they both hope will lead to some seasonal sparks of joy, they both learn more about what friendship entails, what they can learn from each other and how following their own happiness trail can also bring some happiness to others. Extended Logline: When an imperfect, life-size robotic doll that yearns to have a human owner and home is left on an empty shelf prior to Christmas with only a smart aleck cat for company (who spends his life in battles with the free Acrobatic Alley Cats that want to impress the Fantastic Felines who wish to better themselves and their cat lives), the festive season looks bleak but when a young girl with vocal and hearing impairment challenges (orphan now under the care of her guardian who was her mother's friend) suddenly expends a gift voucher that she was given, some wishes are suddenly brought to life as the two follow her happiness wishlist trail and some wishful sparks find their way into multiple lives, hearts and minds. This film will explore themes of imperfection, rejection, acceptance, self-acceptance, inclusion, isolation, happiness and self-discovery. In some scenes there will also a secondary story line which relates to the Land of the Lost and Forgotten when Saturn and Annalise have a few chance encounters with members of the Broken Toys Brave Heroes Crew.
Storybook info: will be included in the Christmas Fable Collection but will also be a separate storybook which should be out on paperback around June 2025.
** this project forms the backstory for several members of the Broken Toys Heroes Crew such as Annalise, Saturn and Zappy who all join the crew and become members in this story and later stories.

Notes about the film (from conversations about the concept & script): When Evangeline's moves in with her aunt, due to her physical challenges, people's attitudes towards her can at times be very functional and not particularly personal because they are not used to being around people unlike themselves and so the creation of her Happiness Wishlist is her chance to embark on an exploration to discover what makes her happy.
