Land of Legends Fable Collection: A Hopeful Hunt for Hopeful Ness & Other Legendary Creatures/Hopeful Ness & Hopeless Ness (working titles)
The Story
Short Summary: After suffering a medical emergency, a workaholic father decides to take his two children, one of whom hates nature but loves tech, gadgets and music and the other who has recently found a backpack guidebook to the Land of Legends in their attic which it is thought one belonged to one of the children's grandparents, on a voyage of adventure to Loch Ness to find the legendary Loch Ness Monster and other such creatures. However, when one of the children, who is an aspiring zoologist that believes in Nessy, falls into the loch, gets caught up in a whirlpool riptide and then disappears, she is found hours later, on the banks of the loch by a helpful loch fisherman where she claims to have been rescued by the Nessy herself. The media quickly clutches onto the story because according to legends, Nessy can grant wishes and has healing powers that can heal humans with a touch and since someone has a clip of the rescue which is not totally clear but that shows some kind of creature involvement, this ignites curiosity and sparks massive interest that not only goes viral but that also attracts tourists and other global hunters from across the world looking for creature tourist attractions, one of whom attempts to pollute the loch to drive Nessie out of her home and capture her to harness her wish granting and healing powers.
Due to the danger that Nessie now faces, the children and their father must then save Nessie from the evil corporation that wishes to put her in a water park exhibition but their father still doesn't necessarily believe that Nessy exists and so the children have to find a way to communicate to alert Nessy to the dangers lurking around the loch and must find the traditional song that must be played/sung to summon Nessy from the depths as well as make an alert song to help guide Nessy to safety as well as program/reactivate an old anibot that one of the children is given by the fisherman to translate and interpret human and animal speech, so the two children can speak to Nessy and understand her. According to legends, an escape tunnel does exist which the loch fisherman advises can be found underneath the loch itself which must be dug up and reopened by Nessy herself to save her and her family. So, as natural and human chaos erupts, the three pursue what their father believes may be an imaginary, but the two children believe is a real possible goal as their unusual quest to save Nessie and her two children from pollution, capture and ruthless corporate exploitation challenges the depths of not just the loch but also their own imaginations as well as their love for each other. Summary: When a father suffers a medical emergency, in his quest to bond more closely with his two children who have recently found a backpack guide book to the Land of Legends in their attic on a voyage of adventure to find the legendary Loch Ness Monster and other such creatures because he is a workaholic and they are always at loggerheads, he decides to take the two on a trip to see if the legendary, perhaps fictional Loch Ness Monster really exists. However, as they try to live off the land with just a canvas tent and attempt to find a trail of nature that might lead them to the Nessy or a strange mountain/woodland creature that might be able to help them lure Nessy out of watery hiding, natural and human chaos swiftly erupts, unpacks itself and then winds itself all around their canvas tent.
The legendary quest which may or may not be fictitious in nature starts to rekindle their family bonds and as they discover more about themselves and their family members, their imaginary but remotely possible unusual quest challenges the depths of not just their imaginations but also their love for each other. In the course of their voyage of adventure, they also discover en-route to Nessy that hopeful blessings and even hopeless mistakes can be far stronger, positive life experiences than materialistic goals which can bring lives and hearts together that were once very far apart.
