Time Switch: Santa, the Wishdragon & the Naughty or Nice Test/The Naughty or Nice Test
Logline: When Griffin decides to be Santa for hire and to do Santa jobs to earn enough money to buy his own Christmas gifts one year, since he's been on the Naughty List or the past couple of years, Santa catches him in the act and when Griffin disputes the accuracy of Santa's Naughty or Nice Test, Santa decides to show him how children put their own names on his Naughty List as well as offering Griffin a chance to redeem himself and to get A grade in Courage by helping him on Christmas Eve in his battle against the troublemakers who often try to sabotage Christmas. Written by Jill Thrussell
Summary: In the run up to Christmas an eight-year-old boy who's been on Santa's Naughty List for two Christmases decides to hire himself out as Santa in his local neighbourhood and offers to perform some Santa gift deliveries inclusive of any awkward jobs that locals want done, the provision of various forms of entertainment (e.g. singing telegram messages, impromptu flash comedy or dance performances) as well as helping people to make their own Naughty Lists so that he can play pranks on those people that have done them wrong that year to make some extra pocket money to buy himself some gifts. Rather unexpectedly however, Griffin gets caught by the real Santa who is not amused, so he tries to convince Santa that his Naughty or Nice Test needs upgrading, redefining and doesn't measure naughtiness accurately then Santa takes Griffin on a trip to the Realm of Time to visit some other people's pasts in Record Keeper City, their presents in Time Watcher City and their futures in Time Protector City that Griffin knows, to prove the accuracy of Santa’s Naughty List and to explore the impact of emotions, thoughts and actions. After that Griffin is taken to meet some special realmtimers in Hourglass City that understand the importance and value of every second, minute and hour where he has to help to save the life of someone he knows and learns how important each moment of life really is. During their time travels however, some troublemakers from the Realm of Time attack and as Dragophina the wishdragon (a helpful security chaperone) defends Christmas and their time travelling party, Griffin does his best to assist as he starts to learn what true strength, courage and teamwork really mean and tries to earn an A grade in Courage when the three have to save Christmas from the troublemakers who are determined to completely ruin it. When Christmas Doesn’t Visit You/When Your Christmas Wishes Don't Come True (pending completion/finalisation)
Dear Santa I think last year,
You forgot my house again,
Because there was just a lump of coal,
To celebrate the Christmas season,
And though I've put on my best behaviour,
Sometimes it falls off,
So I'm missing out,
Because that seems to happen a lot.
What can a child do,
When Christmas doesn't visit you,
What can a child do,
When your Christmas wishes don't come true,
What can a child do,
When no Christmas gifts are due,
And there's no presents under my tree,
Because Santa doesn't give any to me,
So Christmas skips over my house,
And never comes to stay with me.
Dear Santa I feel,
You've given up on me,
Because the lump of coal you give yearly,
Shows you have no faith in me,
And though my best behaviour,
Doesn't stick around for very long,
If you give me another chance,
I'll try to prove that,
Dark lump of coal wrong.
What can a child do,
When Christmas doesn't visit you,
What can a child do,
When your Christmas wishes don't come true,
What can a child do,
When no Christmas gifts are due,
And there's no presents under my tree,
Because Santa doesn't give any to me,
So Christmas skips over my house,
And never comes to stay with me.
Just a dark lump of coal,
Is all that Santa gives to me,
And that coal's the bad badge of naughty,
So year after year that's all I can see,
Because there are no good deeds,
Or good sparks to make a present for me,
Only bundles of trouble,
That hang out with me regularly,
So Christmas skips over my house,
And never comes to stay with me.
