a clever, problem-solving skunk (stink badger) and a cowardly, chaotic marmoset run a one stop wildlife extinction survival shop supplying disguises, gadgets, PR consultancy and detective agency services on the edge of the forest to high-risk nature clients on the brink of extinction helping them to survive as well as hiding them from those that wish to make them extinct. In order to try to stop the human hunters that seek their clients out, they enlist some help from an eccentric, quirky, reckless chimpanzee research scientist and his saolo research assistant who have been conducting some research on the human species. However, after their annual International Wildlife Before You’re Extinct Conference in the forest, when a 'Before You're Extinct' disguise mission suddenly goes wrong, with the help of their mentors from the Heroic Creatures Rescue Crew, (Pangolin Prompfix, Dodo Dawdledays and Scenttrail Fasttracks) who visit the forest to assist, they must train and help a group of rag tag volunteers, inclusive of a few rowdy, trickster racoons and some others who have extinction issues themselves, to disguise themselves as red pandas, disguise a red panda as a fox and come up with a clever scheme to rebrand the entire red panda species. Since this particular species are seen as cute by human beings that often wish to own and keep red pandas as exotic pets, they must try to rebrand the species in an attempt to make them appear untameable, scary or undesirable in some way (to make them uncute in human sight) to protect their species in the long term which they hope will trick humans into disliking or fearing them to put humans off hunting them that wish to sell them as exotic pets.
