Robotoland: The Broken Parts Repair Trail

The Story

Short Summary: A boy loses his home due to a flood but among the rubble, once the flood disperses, he finds a lost baby pangolin who was en route to a zoo when the flood struck that has lost his family that seems to form a bond with him and a broken robot/bot that he starts to repair.  Due to his desire to fix the broken robot/bot, he follows a trail of broken parts and broken part clues until he fixes the Resolution robot/bot and as he learns more about not just fixing broken things but also about himself, the two then start to follow a memory trail in his mind from pieces of the past to rebuild some of what was lost from his life and home and tackle some tricky scavengers along the way as he attempts to restore his own life, his own home, looks after his newfound animal and robotic friends and tries to fix his mother's broken heart.  Written by Jill Thrussell

Summary Synopsis: When a boy that has just lost his home due to a flood but once the flood disperses, he finds a lost baby pangolin that has lost his family among the rubble, who was en route to a zoo when the flood struck that seems to form a bond with him and a broken robot from Robotoland, he sets off in an attempt to find all the broken and lost parts to try and fix the robot again so that it functions.  Along the way as he follows a trail of broken part clues and the robot starts to function more and more with each part he finds at each place he visits, he discovers something more about himself and as he does so, he realizes that the Resolution robot that he has fixed may be able to help him repair his own heart and mind due to the sadness he feels as well as help him to fix and repair a few things that have been lost.  Once the Resolution robot is fully operational, the two embark on a second journey and a memory trail in his own mind from pieces of the past to find and fix things and to replace what has been lost in the flood and as the young boy embarks on a voyage of self-discovery, remembrance and purpose, they rebuild his life and home.  However, they face some trickster scavengers along the way as he learns more about not just fixing things that are broken but also more about his own strengths and weaknesses as he discovers more about fixing himself and attempts to restore his own life, his own home, looks after his newfound animal and robotic friends and tries to fix his mother's broken heart.  Written by Jill Thrussell
