Hazel & the Pet Alerts
The Story: When Hazel moves to a new house with her family and pet puppy, she is given a pet minder robot for her birthday to help her look after the puppy that provides alerts to Hazel whenever her puppy requires her input e.g. feeding, petting, attention and other things. However, Hazel’s new neighbour, who is an elderly man, dislikes her puppy and the robotic pet minder intensely and often chases them out of his garden but when he starts to suffer from Alzheimer’s and a social worker tries to put him into a home, Hazel, her puppy and her robotic pet minder suddenly take on a new role as they try to help him to keep an anchor on life and both his feet inside his own home so that he can retain his independence with some comical results.
